XP is trash! i love vista!!!!
Vista can't run Auto CAD so I don't like it!!! And it crashes all the time and its kinda lame!!!!
Never messed with vista so I wouldn't really know. I do know that you usually want to give a new os about a year to work out all the bugs.

They are OS's... [Operating systems]. It's the user interface, a bridge if you will, that one uses to communicate with his computer hardware, programs, ect. Windows XP has for some time now been the operating system of choice when it comes to PC; however, many also use OS's such as Macintosh or Linux. Vista, is Microsoft's latest OS which I think is incredible.
Vista is power hungry and unless you have the power to run it, it's not going to work like the dream it can be. I suggest getting a quad core processor, have a good graphics card, and at least 4 gigs of memory.
Further more, you can try looking for Auto CAD Drivers or Vista compatible versions online, but I'm sure you've already gone through the trouble.
